Cupcake 1st Birthday

Ok, so cupcakes are HUGE right now. Just wish they would've been when I started our daughter's nursery! Guess I was ahead of the times!!

How about a Cupcake Party For Your Lil Cupcake!
The most important part.....(besides the birthday girl/boy) The Cake
I wanted to make the smash cake part of the main cake and it needed to be a giant cupcake.
I wasn't going to invest in the Big Top cake pan.
So use what you have, right?
Enter the COFFEE FILTER! Its perfect for making those cupcake lines. All it is is a giant cupcake liner. So put your liner in a round cake pan, or a glass bowl if you don't have a pan. Fill 2/3 full with batter and bale at 325 degrees.
NOW FOR THE LINER:
Take a few more filters. Put them in the same pan/bowl you used.
Get come melting chocolate, melt, and take a paintbrush and paint the inside of the coffee filter with chocolate. Freeze and repeat several times until the thickness you desire. Then pull off the filters and VOILA.....an edible liner for your child!!

For the Table
There are lots of sites to buy cute cupcake things. Cupcake cups  from Oriental Trading
The plates and napkins I picked up from Hobby Lobby
The Hats, is where I come in. Buy some foam sheets and make your own. A glue gun is my favorite tool!! Add some pom poms some letters and cupcakes. Punch a hold in either side and add some elastic string.

Place One at every seat with the childs name

 The Goodie Bags
filled with cupcake pencils, cupcake lipgloss, tablets, rings,
The little ones were filled with a plate and bowl
or a onesie with a tutu sewn on and a cupcake applique

 The Pinata
from Party City

The centerpieces
Store bought boxes filled with crinkle paper
Cut out  circles apply cupcakes and glitter
make 2 sides and insert a sucker stick
For the big cupcake I just printed a template on white paper and traced andcut out on the
paper I wanted. Also double sided. Add some rhinestones!
